NutriBullet NBR-1201 Use and Maintenance

How to Use Your NutriBullet High-Speed Blender

Using the NutriBullet NBR-1201 is super simple no matter what you’re blending, and the process will largely remain the same. Let’s go over the basic steps of using this blender just to see how easy it really is:

1. Fill the cup of choice with whatever ingredients you want to blend and add your liquid of choice.

2. Twist the extractor blade (or milling blade depending on use) onto the cup and hand tighten it to ensure it is properly sealed.

3. Insert the vessel onto the power base, blade side down. Push down lightly and twist to the left to start the blending process. Do this in a maximum of one-minute intervals to prevent overheating.

4. Once you’re done blending, twist the vessel back to the right to turn it off. Once the power base stops running entirely, simply remove the vessel and that’s it!

Cleanup and Maintenance

The NutriBullet was designed to make cleanup a breeze, so let’s look at what’s all involved in keeping your blender maintained as best possible. Before getting into any serious cleaning, make sure the power base is turned off and unplugged. Once it’s powered down completely and the cup has been removed, cleanup will depend on which component you’re dealing with.

Most of the components, including the cups, lids, and lip rings are all dishwasher safe, so feel free to put them on the top rack of your dishwasher and you’re good to go. For the blades, simply rinse them with soap and water — be careful not to remove the gasket, as this will reduce its ability to seal! Lastly, the power base should not get dirty if it’s sealed tightly, but if it does simply use a sponge and gently scrub where you need to.

NutriBullet NBR-1201 Key Features

Nutrient-Extraction Blades

NutriBullet’s patented blade design and technology are specifically engineered to extract all of the nutrients from what you blend so that you can be as healthy as you possibly can be. This technology uses the cyclonic motion of their specialty blades to pulverize, crush, and break down seeds, stems, and skins to release the nutrients into whatever you’re blending.

Compact Design

One of the major design aspects that help NutriBullet get on the map among some of the biggest names in blending is their compact design that can still pack a punch. The design not only makes the blender easier to store, it even makes it portable. Meaning no matter where you’re going, you can easily take it with you, perfect for making smoothies in the morning and then taking it to the office to use again throughout your day.

UL Listed Device

The NutriBullet NBR-1201 was specifically designed and built to comply with North American and Canadian electrical standards. This means that it’s been thoroughly vetted and tested by the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and it has met or exceeded all of their safety requirements.

K

Expensive, you might be paying a bit for the NutriBullet name

Potential Blender Alternatives

If you’re looking at NutriBullets, you’re probably in the market for a compact blender that takes up less space. If you want to save a bit of money, check out the Magic Bullet for another small design that packs a punch, at a fraction of the cost.

The NutriBullet is also limited due to its lack of pre-programmed buttons or variable speeds. So if you want a bit more control over the speed or pre-programmed buttons to help automate the process for you, check out the Oster Pro 1200 blender.

Nutribullet has been the king of personal blenders for a long time now.  When it comes time to make that smoothie, there is no better appliance to turn to.  However, unlike other personal blenders, the Nutribullet is not designed to handle crushing ice which may be a significant limitation for some buyers.  If you are looking for a personal smoothie maker, this is the one.  But if you're searching to make frozen drinks or anything that needs to crush ice, then you need to find a more suitable option.

Final Thoughts on the NutriBullet NBR-1201 High-Speed Blender

Being one of the major brands when it comes to blending, you can rest assured knowing that you have a high-quality appliance with the backing of a big company when you buy the NutriBullet NBR-1201. Keep in mind that you’ll certainly be paying for that brand name, but oftentimes it’s worth the cost. This blender is perfect for those who want a good quality blender that’s easy to use and takes up little storage space and counter space.

On the flip side, if you’re looking to save money on a basic blender, this might not be the best blender for you. Or if you like the idea of pre-programmed buttons that control the blender to do the work for you, the NutriBullet is not for you.
